iuDia is a small boutique hotel located directly on the river in Ayutthaya, designed to take you back to the serenity of Old Siam from a contemporary base.
Located right in the centre on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, you are just a short walk away from the 69 temples and ruins that make up the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Ayutthaya.
The iconic Wat Phutthaisawan, built by the old King U-thong, sits opposite on the far bank of the river, while other emblematic sites such as the Wat Mahathat, site of the famous buddha in the bodhi tree, are just a short walk away in the national park. The hotel even offers free bike rental to explore the ancient ruins at your leisure.
Guests have the choice of just 13 rooms – each beautifully designed in the ancient Siamese style while offering contemporary comforts. Choose from poolside rooms to get direct access for a refreshing dip, opt for the stunning views of the riverside rooms, or select the cosy courtyard rooms.
All rooms have a private balcony to relax after exploring palaces and temples. The rooms include a minibar, a flatscreen tv, a bathtub, and air conditioning. If guests feel sore after their day’s exertions, they can receive a traditional Thai foot massage on-site.
There is a quaint coffee shop within the hotel grounds, with many riverside restaurants along U-Tong road offering local delicacies, including barbecued prawns.
