Depart the hotel at 09:00 for a drive to the snorkel outfitter – a light breakfast of snacks, coffee and tea will be available, but it’s suggested to fill up as calories will be burning all day long. The boat departs from Mae Haad Pier and begins circling Koh Tao in search of the island’s top snorkelling sites. Koh Tao has become Southeast Asia’s epicentre for diving and snorkelling due to the clarity of the water, nearby reef, hippie vibe and cheap prices. While the island previously teemed with backpackers, older travellers have discovered the island’s charm and vibrant underwater life in recent years.
The first stop, and most photogenic, is Nangyuan Island, which is located just a few hundred meters offshore. You’ll have an opportunity to explore both above and below the water at this world-famous site.
Afterwards, a buffet lunch will be served on board before setting off for other sites. Some of the popular snorkelling stops are Mango Bay, Aow Leuk, Shark Bay and Hinwong Bay.
Around 16:00, depart for the return boat and van ride before arriving at the hotel.
