Prepare for a day of adventure as you are collected at your hotel and transferred to the pier, ready for a speedboat journey out to the famous Phi Phi Islands.
Perhaps best known as the filming location of Leonardo Di Caprio’s The Beach, these islands have long been a tourist hotspot in these parts. While some elements are commercialised, there are still pockets of beauty to be explored on this trip.
As guests glide over the waves, snacks and drinks are served on board – take advantage to get the energy for a jam-packed day.
Our first stop is Pileh lagoon, a picturesque swimming inlet surrounded by limestone cliffs known for its clear waters, making it a popular spot for snorkellers. Here, we’ll also jump aboard a longtail boat to explore the inner depths of a nearby cave.
Next, we navigate round to another cove at Viking Cave. Here is a fantastic opportunity to don the snorkelling gear and explore the coral reef, home to a multitude of colourful schools of fish easily visible through the clear turquoise waters.
After a glimpse into the underwater world, we’ll dock on Phi Phi Don – the main island – where we’ll stop for an hour or so in a beachside restaurant for a delicious lunch. Visitors can enjoy some time relaxing on the beach if they wish.
Next, the trip heads to Bamboo Island. Bask in the stunning views of this tropical island paradise as the day draws to a close. To complete the beach vibes, enjoy the BBQ chicken served as snacks on board the catamaran.
As the evening draws on, we’ll set sail back to the mainland. On the journey back, get the camera ready as the sun descends, creating a constantly evolving colour pallet in the sky as it follows its path beyond the horizon. Upon arrival back at the pier, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
