Responsibilities:
- As a senior member of the Tailormade team, you may be required to provide mentorship and guidance on complex bookings and client interactions with less experienced members of the team.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for high-priority or complex client inquiries, ensuring timely and thoughtful resolutions.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client enquiries about Tripseed’s diverse services, including conducting video and audio calls across challenging time zones.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand and refine their travel needs, covering places, durations, interests, and any specific requirements, ensuring a highly personalised trip experience.
- Prioritise and recommend responsible travel experiences within itineraries, including low-carbon activities, eco-friendly accommodations, and options that align with sustainable travel practices, ensuring each itinerary contributes positively to environmental and social impacts.
- Actively seek and incorporate experiences that support minority-owned and women-led businesses, local artisans, and community-based initiatives, promoting gender equality, cultural preservation, and local economic empowerment.
- Take a proactive role in supporting the Operations team in coordinating and troubleshooting any on-trip requirements or changes for clients, maintaining the highest service standards.
- Manage the collection of client deposits and oversee adherence to payment schedules, ensuring a smooth initiation of bookings.
- Clearly explain cancellation policies, focusing on key dates and penalties, and address any client concerns with clarity and professionalism.
- Tailor client trip itineraries while adapting to budget constraints and maintaining the expected quality of service.
- Guide the selection of transportation options in line with client preferences on cost, travel times, and transit durations.
- Oversee seamless coordination with the Operations team, ensuring bookings are flawlessly executed in line with client specifications.
- Select accommodations that balance client budgetary considerations, preferred locations, and the best experience.
- Craft engaging and custom excursions based on client preferences, with an eye for unique, memorable experiences.
- Ensure all client mobility and medical needs are proactively considered and addressed during the planning stages and throughout the client’s trip.
- Provide strategic input to continuously improve the Tailormade Trip experience, suggesting optimizations and innovations to enhance client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Fluency in English is required; additional language proficiency is a plus.
- Prior experience as a Senior Travel Consultant or similar advanced role, demonstrating expertise in complex, international travel arrangements.
- Proven leadership abilities with a talent for guiding and mentoring junior team members.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing multiple projects.
- Tech-savvy, skilled in desktop research and professional writing, with an aptitude for efficient, thorough client communication.
- Superior interpersonal skills with a commitment to empathy, respect, and professional, clear communication.
- Experienced in sourcing competitive quotes that align with client expectations and preferences.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with a strong track record of managing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong dedication to providing exceptional client service, consistently aiming to exceed expectations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required by client and partner time zones.
